John C. Cannistraro, Jr. is president of J.C. Cannistraro, LLC, Boston’s largest mechanical construction firm specializing in plumbing, fire protection, HVAC and sheet metal services for commercial and institutional projects. Founded in 1963, Cannistraro is led by its second generation of family ownership overseeing 700 employees, including members of the family’s third generation. Mr. Cannistraro provides the company with a strategic direction by empowering its people to utilize innovative technologies and best practices within the construction industry.
Mr. Cannistraro is a past president of the Massachusetts Building Congress and the Greater Boston Plumbing Contractors Association. He serves an advisor for the Artists for Humanity; board member of the Newton Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation; and Chairman of the Board for the American Sanitary Plumbing Museum. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University, holds a Master Plumber’s License in Massachusetts, and is a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School.
