DPR Construction - Tom Corey

Tom Corey

Tom brings nearly 40 years of experience in supervising and managing field engineering and construction personnel in the building of complex technical facilities. He has a wide range of experience on projects throughout the United States, and has spent the last 8 years building iconic Higher Educational and Healthcare facilities. Tom built the first Engineering News-Record (ENR) award winning Green Building of the Year just as the Lean Construction “movement’ was in its infancy, and it became an inevitable challenge for him to expand the building processes he knew, by going back to the basics and creating a Culture of Lean on his project sites.

Tom is a Lean Construction guest lecturer at Arizona State University and a participant in round table gatherings regarding Lean, Sustainability and Technical construction. He continually takes “teaching” to a new realm, while he and the team of his current project, Banner University Medical Center – Phoenix Campus (BUMCP), created a “DPR University” for all the teammates to “Go & See” how Lean Techniques are practiced on a daily basis.
